The ants out side my window.

Recently I have move into a new office and have a new feature to my work life, A window. At first the window and I did not know what to say to each other. I have never had a window at work before. Back in school I remember windows always got me into trouble. The world passed by them, sun, ran, girls, and other people I knew. These things were always more interesting then Algebra. I wanted to watch the stuff out the window, Miss Lapp my Algebra teacher had other ideas… So when I moved in to the new office and found the window I remembered how much trouble they had gotten me in before. So we did say much to each other. Every once in a while I would glance over just to make sure the window was still there and quickly go back to work. Maybe once in a while adjust the blinds to keep the afternoon sun from frying my office. But always was the thought that it was going to get me into trouble. Then today I noticed them, ants. The shrubs out side are right up against the window. So I can see the inside of the planets. This morning I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. On closer examination I found a ants working away in the shrub, moving water, food, and scouting for trouble. Doing all the things ants need to do to keep Miss Lapp from hounding them about homework. Trying really hard not to stop and watch all interesting things going on inside the big window. So here the ants and I are working away on our sides of the window just doing what needs to be done. I think the window and I will be ok…

Good afternoon everyone

Good afternoon everyone, its time for a Froggy News Network News Break.
Dateline London, The court of King Henry the 8th gears up today for its annual Easter Day Egg hunt. King Henry after suffering a very embarrassing day out last year is taking no chances in this years hunt. He has hired some of the best egg trackers in all the known world and has ordered his very own Royal guard to prepare for this years expedition. We talked to the captain of the guard Sir Jonathan T. Gage, here is what he had to say. "Yes were pulling out all the stops this year, his majesty was doing very well in last years hunt but at the last moment that darn little egg just slipped away. Odd that, being it was painted so brightly. Alias this year we've brought in 200 harquebusiers, 200 light Calvary, 100 pikemen and four trebuchet. None of those pesky eggs will slip past us this year." When asked about the need of the trebuchet, he merely looked at us oddly and said their for "just in case".
In related news Duke Edward Seymour has been cleared of all alleged charges in a recent Egg smuggling ring break up. It was alleged that the good Duke was smuggling in Wile East African Easter Eggs to thwart the Kings hunt. These allegations have been proven false and the accusers have been summarily executed.

Now on to the Weather.

I have a door in the back of my head.

I picked up the coolest set of CD's today. Including the new disc by Lisa Loeb 'Cake and Pie.' If you have not herd any of her music it is well worth picking up. The fist song is one of those song that make me think she has my house bugged. By the way she is a way hot babe.

The Way it Really Is
I kept talking to myself,
I had to get the words out of my head.
(so I did)
You barely said a thing,
you kind of heard me out and then you said,
(you said)
"You’re crazy,
why do you keep doing this?
Everything is fine."
Then I think I’m crazy
I do this all the time.
Until I start to think that nothing’s even wrong
Maybe I am hiding in my own confusion.
Maybe we’re just a picture in my head.
Maybe what if it could be the way I wish it really was.
Maybe I don’t want to see it the way it really is.
Sometimes your intentions are totally impossible to read.
(What does that mean?)
Sometimes even I have no idea what I need.
(I wish I did.)

Anyone who thinks ships are not feminine... burst into flames!

Oh yeah this is going to be a rant! From the article on CNN. The fine folks at Lloyd's list have figure it all out. They have decided ships should no longer be feminine. They are to be referred to a 'it' not 'she.' Lloyd's list is the shipping industries trade paper. Centuries of English customs document referring to ship as 'she,' vessels built from the same design were know as sister ships. The ocean her self has feminine pronouns use to address to her. Why does Lloyd's list want to change all this? Here is their reason "Ultimately they are commodities...not things that have characters."

We name hurricanes, why it is just weather condition? People give their pets names, why they are just livestock? I think giving children name is too personal, wait until they get a job and we will call them by their job titles. I going to start referring to Lloyd's list as a bunch of it's. After all they are journalists not something that has character.

If I were to be revolutionary and storm the gates of tyranny to line the oppressors up in front of a wall and shoot them, these people would be them. Ship have personality and character. They protect use on the sea and bring us home. They mirror what is beautiful about every woman. Willful, strong, protective and faithful that are the things that we see in ships. That is why we call them 'she.' If you folks at Lloyds list don't see that anymore maybe you should start covering something else.

HeyDan Quiz! Who is the Madfrenchman?

Well sports fans its the race to the NCA Final Four. The National Cabbage Association is really excited about this years matchups. In the first few days of competition already the fans are surprised by the outcomes. Our local team the Scarborough Hedgehogs thourghly pounded the Nottingham knockers. This despite a rather odd run in with a hungry group of gypsies. The London Lords were upset in their second round of play by the underdog canteberry Chaucer. Remember folks stay tuned to FNN sports highlights for all your Cabbage Final Four coverage.

In other news, today the society for decent beer, urged folks to once again this St Patrick's day not to dye their Beer Green. This practice started many years ago is a heresy to all that is holy about beer. Again folks green beer is not funny and is not the way to celebrate this wonderfully holiday.

And now to the Froggy Weather Center.

Quote of the day.

Normal I just put these on the quote page but this one it just too good.

"An unsugary plethora of perceptual incisiveness, intellectual hyperinventiveness and caffeine inspired Precambrian instinct, the emotionally complex Kelly Hart, writes with a unique syntactical freedom and strong sense of lexical inhibition, evidenced by her innovative and often dramatic grammatic hyperbole and excitingly inventive spelling." Big Hills and Sampsonite

Hey all. Lots to talk about!

The ski trip was great. We flew out on Monday morning got to Denver by noonish and drove up to BeaverCreek. We rented a 4 wheel drive but as it turned out we ended up not even seeing so much as a really wet road. BeaverCreek is about 25 mile west of Vail up I-70. I kept thinking the whole drive about how much I miss mountains living in Texas. There really is not sense of perspective in Dallas. Put a mountain (5000+ft above) the Dallas skyline and I think you look at things differently.

Pulling into the Hotel 'it' started. Let me tell you about 'it.' The thing I learned about me on this trip is that I do not like feeling important and sucked up to. Do not get me wrong, I did not hate calling the concierge desk and having a car take me anywhere I want. I could get really used to that. 'It' started by the valet getting my bags and parking the car for me. Continued with the bell hop and the front desk and the latter the bartender. By the second night 'it' had started to drive me crazy. I found myself begging for a surly waiter or rued driver. There was one humorous fellow who sat us for breakfast every morning, now he was entertaining. I guess that is it, I want the people around me to be entertaining and interesting. Oh yeah… and I want to carry my own bag. It lets me feel like I can pull my own weight.
