The day no-one left home

Did anyone hear NPR talking about Texas see the first signs of spring? Drive safe out there... that is sleet not snow.

But is is pretty...

I was thinking much about that cheerful little NPR feature on WUstin's happy weather. Saturday the 21 was a glorious sunndy day at the Cameron Park Zoo - in other words, crowds. Then came Tuesday. Needless to say Natalie did ALL the driving for a couple of days. In fact, while we were riding to work the day I-35 was closed, I was reminescing about the Thanksgiving sleet storm of 1993 - and how I wussed out of your orphan's dinner. But the next day, since we were both off, you showed up to take me out to lunch and had all sorts of fun showing me how to put the car inot a skid and get it out again... Of course the thing that was worse about this year's sleet attack is that lasted so long. (It's over now in Waco - My Aunt and Uncle in DeSoto told me their ice was still there Friday). At least all my daffodils survived...

Wustin?
Now if it was Wusstin, that would really by a Freudian slip, but of course I meant Austin...
