I went and saw Kill Bill last night. It is 110 min of Uma gutting people and arterial bleed so big the laws of biology are more realistic in cartoons. This is a 2-hour trip in to Tarantino’s head. I could hear him going wouldn't it be cool if... her body guard was a school girl who could kick butt... and we had a sword master and a knife fighting mom…and ...
The only thing that really disturbed me was the mother who had brought her children to see the movie.

When Natalie and I were on our way back from visiting her mother in Montana, we stopped to visit a friend in Omaha, and went to see "Once Upon a Time in Mexico". Again, it was weird seeing parents with little children leaving the theatre (during the credits of course, so they missed the cleverness at the very end, of the black on the screen becoming the black of Johnny Depp's character's eye sockets...) We found the movie an enormous lot of fun - Especially the little details like the "Clash of the Titans" lunch box. Of course Quentin Taratino had some hand in that also...
