Right? Wrong?
I listen to the Senate Armed Services Committee asking tough questions to leaders of our nations military for a couple of hours today. They were honest and forward with real desire to fix the problems that allowed the events of the Abu Ghraib prison happen. When the coverage was over I asked myself… Are we doing the right thing? These soldiers committed crimes by mistreating detainees in their charge. They have stained the reputation of both the US and her military. I am sorry for the shame we have forced them to endure… then news came on the lead story was the hearings and the story that followed was ”Video shows beheading of American captive in Iraq.” Where is the shame for what you have done to us? Where is the apology for this?
