Crash...

First, I am ok. Second, I got rear ended on 635 last night. This is the first notable accident involving another car I have had. It was about 10:40 and I was approaching the high-5 that of course means there was traffic. Everyone was stopped on the ramp to 75-north. I was slowing down with a couple of car lengths between me and the guy in fount of me, when a BMW (big surprise) dove into the gap. The guy in front of him hit his breaks. I hit mine. God praise antilock breaks, I did not hit him. Well that was until the cab hit me.

One of those blue Ambassador minivan cabs. I heard him hit his breaks. With me paying attention to the BMW, I did not see him hit me. There was a lot of dust. Latter I would see why. The trailer hitch on my car was bent up into the cargo compartment, knocking 5 years of Faire dirt and black rock sand free from it home in the carpet.

The cab driver was insured. His name was Mohamed, a cab driver named Mohamed, what are the odds? Now I get to go though the whole getting the car fix thing.

Back to what I call my-rule, I do not care how much stuff you break as long as you’re ok. Things can be repaired or replaced. I was very happy to go home to my wife. It took me longer then usual to stop watching her fall asleep and turn off the light. If things had been more serious I would have missed her. I was glad to be home.

i'm glad to hear that you are ok!!! ! !!

and really, am glad you are ok too. i hope your head (inside and out) and neck are feeling alright too. i'd say it's been a couple days, treat yourself to a massage...

and i am not worried about the green thing, that's what his insurance is for.

SO glad you're ok! Take care of you. :)

Wow! Sorry to hear about this but very very happy to hear you are ok. Sucks about the car but you are right, it can be fixed/replaced while that is not always true about people. You should put photos of the car up if you have them since you hosted pics of my totalled car for a couple of years. *grin* Again, glad you are ok.
