I Wear Glasses...
I am going blind and not for the reason they always said I would. Over the last couple years or so I have noticed things getting fuzzy. This happens mostly when my eyes are tired. I have noticed that I was tilting my head to read small print as well. All of this added up to one thing, I am going blind.
Well that may be a bit too dramatic. What I needed was to have my eyes checked. That is what I did yesterday. I had my first ever eye exam. Turns out my eyes are healthily and my vision is a little off. As I age I am getting slightly near and slightly far sighted. Currently I see about 20-15. What the means is if I trying to read stuff 20 feet away I should be wearing glasses. I also need them when I read close up.
I was amazed about how fuzzy things had gotten. Lines are more defined and those street signs are much easier to see now. I knew this was going to happen a t some point. Both of my parents and my brother wore glasses by the time they hit 30. Add to that the fact I work on a computer 6-12 hours a day average. So this is not really that much of a surprise.
The vanity of glasses doesn’t really worry me. K says they look good on me. Most of the guys I know find girls who wear glasses hot, why would the girls I know be any different? Besides they make me look Clark Kent. I have a mild mannered alter ego… how cool is that?

They do have a nickname in the Army - ABCD's. But these days nerds and geeks are a lot more in demand. Or so my wife tells me.

Welcome to the world of visual accoutrement, Dan! There are many of us living in this land and we are here to guide you (although once you put the glasses on you should be able to navigate on your own just fine). Sorry you're "going blind". But it's true that glasses on men are sexehhhh.
You should post a pic of yourself wearing your new specs!
Cheers,
Danna

I just got a pair myownself. In my case, mostly for when I'm tired. Though there is a slight difference in clarity, they're more to help me hurt less than to make me see better.
(My doc looked at my sheet, and asked "Are you serious? 8-16 hours a day on a computer?")

Stop your whining, having glasses isn't that bad. Go back to grade 9 you preppy drama queen. We have a name for people like you. You'll probably be able to tell what it is after seeing Brokeback Mountain, although I'm sure you already have.

Yo "Boo Hoo" Dude... for a student from Ottawa Carleton Catholic School you are kind of stupid. Do your classmates know you are an internet illiterate whacko? Your IP address is logged when you post. Next time you want to make fun of a post try reading the whole post...

Dude you have wakos!
Man I want me some. I also want more people google'ing me, flaming me, and RTFM acronym'ing me.
Please remove the Kent disguise before I see you. I know my glasses change me from a nineteen year old kid to a mild mannered old guy.
Love you

Wel, honey, it seems like you touched a nerve with the "boo hoo" guy. He's right about one thing, though, people do think he's stupid.
